Whiledreaming,ordaydreaming,abouttoday,IfoundmyselfthinkingaboutPurduePete.Again,thisyear,Petewasrankedamongthemostidentifiedcollegemascotsinthecountry,andthefavoriteinourBigTenConference.
Afewyearsbeforeyourclassarrivedoncampus,someonetriedtoredoPeteandturnhimintosomenewsymbolofourschool.Iwasn’there,either,butastoldtome,theideastartedanimmediatebacklash,anear-riot,anddiedwithindays.Igottothinkingabout“why?”
